Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan soccer star who FIFA charged with biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini in a June World Cup match, will soon learn his fate.
According to Hispanically Speaking News, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has agreed to hold an express hearing for his case the second week of August. He is currently serving a four-month ban from all soccer-related activities since the incident.
The 27-year-old striker, who was recently signed by Barcelona from Liverpool, could make his Barcelona debut against Real Madrid as early as October. According to Yahoo News, the Spanish league announced its schedule for the 2014-15 season on Thursday, and the first Barcelona/Real Madrid match is due to take place on the weekend of October 25 - the same day Suarez's four-month ban is to end.
It is the third time Suarez has been banned for biting an opponent. Only time will tell if he can keep his mouth shut so he can keep playing the game he's so good at.
