Remember the relationship between ex-Cheetah Girl, Adrienne Bailon, and reality TV star, Rob Kardashian, back in 2007?
How could we forget?! We gushed when they got matching tattoos of each other’s name. But sadly, their relationship ended in 2009, after rumors of infidelity.
Nearly five years later, it still seems to be the topic of conversation.
Recently, Bailon was chosen to be on the cover girl for Latina
magazine, and in the magazine, she opened up about her feelings on
their past relationship. This caused a Twitter frenzy with the
Kardashians. All of the Kardashian sisters decided to lash out through
Twitter on Bailon for her comments in the interview, where she said:
"To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me
and to my career. I probably realized that too late—not that it
would’ve affected my decisions in terms of whom I dated, but it
would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show. At the time, I
didn’t think anyone would even care. To this day, people will still
say, ‘You ruined Rob’s life!’ and I’ll think, 'Damn, I was still
playing with Barbie dolls when I met him.'” 
All three sisters came to their brother’s aid by posting how they
felt on Twitter; Rob Kardashian has yet to comment but did retweet his
sister Khloe’s, ‘FDB’ tweet.
Bailon responded to all their harsh comments last week through
Instagram, writing:
“Fame and a career are two different things. I’ve always had a
career,” Bailon wrote. “I have been working hard since I was 15 years
old. Being someone’s ‘girlfriend’ was never what I wanted to be famous
for.”
“What makes you ‘famous’ isn’t always what you want to be labeled as,
or known for. If anyone should understand that…It should be you,” she
continued.
Adding that the Kardashians misconstrued what she said.
“I also stated in the article that none of this would have stopped me
from being in love and being in that relationship. I just would have
gone about it differently," she wrote. "You can love someone just as
much in private. We all learn from our first loves."
