The 37-year-old bilingual pop star has recently taken over rapper Eminem on the top spot on Facebook with more than 100 million likes.
According to Latino News Today, Shakira’s popularity began to soar when she became a successful cross-over singer in the U.
S, back in 2001, with her CD “Laundry Service.” A little more than a decade later, she was chosen to be a coach on NBC’s popular reality hit, “The Voice.”Shakira’s warm and witty personality won over lots of fans on the show watched by millions. She also has a staff absolutely devoted to keeping fans up to date on her activities - posting high quality photos of her and her successful career and personal life.
The singer adds a her own personal touch by posting selfies, notes, and photos of her 1-year-old son, Milan, and her soccer playing love, Gerard Pique. We know when the messages are personally from her, because she signs them “Shak.”
