Demi Lovato, the former Disney star, actually made the conscious choice to get home-schooled at the age of 12, to get away from all the bullying she had to deal with in her school on a regular basis.

Selena Gomez was surprisingly unpopular in her school and had only two friends.

The loner decided to leave the traditional school environment and get home-schooled. Since she never had a real graduation ceremony, she jokes she was able to experience what a graduation was like on the set of her film, "Monte Carlo."

Bella Thorne, the Cuban star, was also a victim of bullying and decided to be home-schooled at age 14. Thorne was bullied for speaking a different language and for her dyslexia. She explained how it got harder, and harder, for her to go to school everyday with all the humiliation and name calling she had to deal with.

"The Fosters" star, Cierra Ramirez, actually chose to focus more on her film and TV career, so that's why she pursued a home-school curriculum. The star graduated on time and received her diploma.

Becky G, the young Mexican singer/rapper, also said she dealt with severe bullying. This compelled her to get into homeschooling. She now is an advocate for kids who get bullied, loaning them advice like, "For kids who get bullied in school, be strong. Whatever a person says, let it in through one ear and out the other. You are you," she told Scholastic

Victoria Justice actually started her high school education in Cleveland High School, in Los Angeles, but had to finish her diploma through home schooling.

As of 2012, she had to be homeschooled due to her career skyrocketing.
